POWER, the largest multi-faith, multiracial, grassroots community organizing network in Pennsylvania, is looking for a job-seeker with strengths in Faith, Organizing and/or Climate Justice and who wants to grow in all areas.
Organizer brief job description:
Organize a deeper base within a portfolio of congregations, connecting people to work on racial and economic justice on a livable planet. Through one on ones, small group meetings and through participatory educational workshops which we have designed, engage members on topics such as Environmental Racism, Just Transition, Why You Have to Talk About Race to Talk about Climate, and many other integrated justice topics, and build local teams so that they continue engagement with each other and with POWER when we identify opportunities for exercising power in the public sphere to build a world that works for all.
