Civic Saturday is a gathering and a movement created by Eric Liu of Citizen University aimed to increase everyday citizen’s participation in their home communities. Following the general structure of a religious service, Civic Saturday gatherings build community through a shared vision of active citizenship and civic engagement. Since 2016, Citizen University has trained Civic Saturday Fellows across the country to host gatherings in-person and virtually for their home communities, based on the general structure provided by the original Civic Saturday.
