Civic Reflection Sessions to be hosted by PACC
Pennsylvania Campus Compact is pleased to invite students, staff, faculty, and administrators to participate in a series of Civic Reflections hosted by PACC at Messiah College in Grantham, PA through out the spring.
Civic Reflection is the practice of reading and discussing short pieces of literature as a means of reflecting on the central questions of civic life. This simple practice can help citizens talk more comfortably about values, think more deeply about choices, and respond more imaginatively to the needs of their communities.
These sessions will enable participants to discuss and challenge their values, ideals, and assumptions about civic life and all of its components. Participation will be free for all Campus Compact member institutions. PACC will provide light refreshments and materials for all participants. Interested parties should contact Meghan at [email protected].
The session schedule is as follows:
Tuesday, February 17th at 2pm
Thursday, March 19th at 2pm
Wednesday, April 22nd at 2pm
Tuesday, May 12th at 2pm
Participants are asked to commit to attending at least three Civic Reflections, in order to maintain a cohesive group. To sign up, simply complete the form at: http://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?key=pVrZz4K-8knsRBoKIZKghXg and a PACC staff member will be in touch with you. Please complete the form by Monday, February 2nd. Any questions can be directed towards Meghan Oakley at [email protected].
