Civic Learning Week – Mar 11–15

Posted by Youth Service America on March 5, 2024

The goal of civic learning week, March 11-15, 2024, is to make civic learning a nationwide priority for a stronger democracy. As a member of the Coalition for Service-Learning, we encourage you to support #CivicLearningWeek by participating in online and in-person events, highlighting stories of youth civic engagement, and amplifying messages of support for civic learning, especially those of service-learning. Together we can demonstrate that civic learning needs to be a nationwide priority for sustaining and strengthening our constitutional democracy.

  1. Thank a student – As leaders of organizations/programs, you can thank students for what they’ve meant for your organizational efforts. This marketing kit can be helpful through your newsletters, social, and other communications.
  2. Empower students to tell their stories – You can empower students to tell their own stories that week about what your organization/program and/or their own service has meant to them on an issue they care about. Our partners at KQED have this really easy-to-use tool to do that through video, podcast, animation, or other means.
