City Year Young Friends Event
Posted by on October 15, 2004
Please join us as we host our first Fall 2004 Young Friends of City Year event on Wednesday, October 20, 2004 from 5:30 pm until 7:30 pm at the Boathouse Pub located in the Rittenhouse Hotel.
Young Friends of City Year is a group of business leaders, lawyers, teachers and entrepreneurs who care about civic participation. We want to improve our community, helping to make Philadelphia a thriving and safe city in which families, children and individuals can live and serve. Young Friends of City Year make a difference as they seek to give back to the community and to their neighbors by attending socially conscious events that support City Year’s service, participating in large scale service days and encouraging others to be civically-engaged.
One-hundred and seventy-five dedicated 17-24 year olds are spending a year of their life serving the people of Philadelphia and the surrounding communities. City Year corps members tutor and mentor children in schools, partner with community organizations and leverage relationships with corporate leaders to enhance our communities. Young Friends of City Year seeks to support and enhance the service of these committed young people in their efforts throughout the city.
Please join us for this “Young Friends of City Year” Happy Hour on Wednesday, October 20, 2004 from 5:30 pm until 7:30 pm at the Boathouse Pub located in the Rittenhouse Hotel. Food and drink specials will be available.
