City Year Women’s Leadership Luncheon – Oct 13
Posted by City Year Philadelphia on September 29, 2020
Please join City Year Philadelphia for their virtual Women’s Leadership Luncheon on Tuesday, October 13 from 11:30am-1:00pm. This year’s event will bring together a panel of women who are leading and inspiring change in the city of Philadelphia. The year 2020 marks two pivotal turning points in our country’s history: the 100th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment guaranteeing women’s constitutional right to vote and the 55th anniversary of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 which prohibited racial discrimination in voting. Join City Year, Raquel Arredondo, Councilmember Maria Quiñones Sánchez, Jasmine Sessoms, and Alison Young for a robust conversation on why all women’s voices matter in voting, activism, and civic engagement. While the event is free, all guests are asked to consider a donation of $50 to support City Year Philadelphia’s work.
