City Year: Hiring 225 AmeriCorps Members
Every 26 seconds a student drops out of school. Young people of color are most affected – nearly half of all African-Americans will not graduate with their class; less than six in 10 Hispanic students will. City Year unites diverse young adults for a year of full-time service. As tutors, mentors, and role models, these leaders keep students in school and on-track. City Year is located in 20 US cities and is a proud member of AmeriCorps.
