City of Philadelphia Thanksgiving Open House

The Mayor’s Office, in partnership with
the Philadelphia Chapter of AmeriCorps Alumni,
cordially invite you to the
2nd Annual Thanksgiving Open House
Monday, November 14th 2011
4:00 -6:00 PM
Philadelphia City Hall, 1st Floor
For over 20 years, the African Daughters of Fine Lineage have hosted an event on Thanksgiving Day at the Municipal Service’s Building where homeless men, women and children are invited to have a hot meal and receive care packages of donated items and non-perishable food. Open House attendees are encouraged to bring donations of the following items to be distributed on Thanksgiving:
•Juice boxes and cans of soda
•Individually wrapped snacks like granola and candy bars
•Cold weather items-boots, coats and sleeping bags
•Colored underwear (men’s & women’s, esp. larger sizes)
•Toiletries, including toothbrushes and toothpaste, deodorant and other personal hygiene items
