Jubilee School sponsors book talk, fair
The Jubilee School is sponsoring two events featuring nationally-known author and educator Salome Thomas-El at the end of January.
Thomas-El will speak on Thursday, January 28th at 10am on the theme, Choose to be Great: Make The Honor Roll and not The Hoagie Roll!, at the Place: University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, Griffith Hall. 600 South 43rd Street in University City. The event is free by preregistration is required by contacting Victoria Woodson-Lafair at 215-387-7592 or by email at [email protected].
The school will also sponsor a book fair and book signing fundraiser with Thomas-El on Saturday, January 30th from 10am to 8pm at the Barnes and Noble Bookstore at 18th and Walnut in Center City Philadelphia. The event will also feature children’s book readings, book making craft projects, two film showings and a teacher’s wish list table.
