United Healthcare offers CHIP outreach grants
Pennsylvania’s Children’s Health Insurance Program assists many families with getting free or low-cost health insurance for their children. UnitedHealthcare Community Plan is looking for CHIP champion partners to increase enrollment in the program.
Through local contacts and community presence, community groups have the potential to reach hundreds of parents, grandparents and caregivers who may need CHIP or can help spread the word about CHIP to those who do need it. Now that CHIP has expanded to cover all uninsured children who are not eligible for Medical Assistance, increased outreach to those eligible is even more critical.
UnitedHealthcare will award funding of up to $1,000.00 to CHIP Champion Partners to aid in the promotion of the CHIP program and encourage families to apply.
To apply to be a CHIP Champion Partner, complete the attached form. Forms should be submitted to James Roberts at [email protected] by Monday, February 28th.
