Children’s Recovery from Adverse Experiences

Children’s Crisis Treatment Center and the Thomas Scattergood Behavioral Health Foundation will present Children’s Recovery from Adverse Experiences: Is It Luck or Something Else? on Thursday, April 9th from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at WHYY, 150 N. 6th Street in Philadelphia. A networking session starts at 8:30 a.m.
The unrelenting stress caused by abuse, neglect, exposure to violence, extreme poverty and other adverse childhood experiences impact the way children learn, play, grow and function throughout their lives. This discussion aims to build communities that can work together to protect children and families from the damaging effects of stress.
