Children’s Insurance Program
Posted by on April 30, 2012
Maternity Care Coalition (MCC) is excited to announce its Children’s Insurance Program, which has set a goal to enroll 2,000 uninsured children in Medicaid/CHIP. Our particular focus is on immigrant children in Philadelphia, Montgomery and Delaware counties.
Our Children’s Insurance Advocates help families in the following ways:
· Screen families for health insurance eligibility
· Assist with completing the Medical Assistance or CHIP application and collecting required documentation
· Support families in providing any additional information if requested by the County Assistance Office
· Submit and track the application until a final determination has been made by the County Assistance Office.
How other agencies and service providers can get involved:
· Directly refer families to our Children’s Insurance Program
· Host a Children’s Insurance Advocate at your site to screen and enroll eligible children (regular out-posting or one-time event)
· Become a partner agency and receive reimbursement for submitted applications
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call Tiffany Washington, Children’s Insurance Program Coordinator, at 215-989-3563 or email her at twashington@maternitycarecoalition.org.
