State developing assessment of nutrition, exercise in childcare centers
The Pennsylvania Department of Education is developing the Pennsylvania Nutrition and Physical Activity Self-Assessment for Child Care.
Through the Child and Adult Care Food Program of the US Dept. of Agriculture, Child Care Wellness mini-grants will be available for child care centers that apply and are selected to participate in the project. Applicants must participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program in order to be eligible to participate in this project and receive a mini-grant.
