Although our Fall & Winter Training Schedule is still a few weeks away, we would like to share a United Way-sponsored training taking place early next month. Training is free. Space is limited. Details and registration information are below.

Child & Adolescent Development (3-Part Series*)
*Note: Individuals who wish to participate in this series must register for all the sessions in the series.

Session 1: Child & Adolescent Development 101
Day, Date, Time: Sat, October 6, 2012, 10:00am – 1:00pm

Description: In the first workshop of this three-part series, participants will receive an overview of child & adolescent development, as well as review research around the concept of “nature vs. nurture.”

Session 2: Child & Adolescent Development 102
Day, Date, Time: Sat, October 20, 2012, 10:00am – 1:00pm

Description: In the second workshop of this three-part series, participants will learn about temperament and the “ten temperament continuums.” Participants will also examine the role that uniqueness plays in child & adolescent development.

Session 3: Child & Adolescent Development 103
Day, Date, Time: Sat, November 3, 2012, 10:00am – 1:00pm

Description: In the final workshop of this three-part series, participants will consider the role of maturity in child & adolescent development, as well as identify methods to nurture the healthy development of their students.
