THE ORGANIZATION

Resources for Human Development (RHD) is a national human services nonprofit organization with the broadest possible service mission, and specializes in creating innovative, quality services that support people of all abilities wherever the need exists. Founded in 1970, RHD supports more than 160 human service programs and employs more than 4,000 people across the country. The mission of RHD is to provide caring, effective, and innovative services that empower people of all abilities as they work to achieve the highest level of independence possible and build better lives for themselves, their families and their communities. From providing residential services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, people with mental health challenges, people in addiction recovery and people experiencing homelessness to job training, assisted transportation, and crisis intervention, RHD provides individualized, quality assistance to person-centered, trauma-informed programs across the country.  RHD’s work is based on a values-driven approach and an organizational structure that encourages and empowers employees to be more responsive to the people they serve – and each other.

THE POSITION

As a member of the Executive Team, the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) is responsible for providing leadership in developing and executing human resource strategies in support of the overall strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of employee relations, recruitment, HR compliance, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, compensation, and benefits.   The CHRO collaborates with the Executive Team and other leadership to implement programs and initiatives supporting corporate strategic objectives.
