The CEAO will be responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing the implementation of activities that increase, diversify and sustain philanthropic support, particularly from major donors and corporations. The CEAO will also grow our network of influential friends and allies. This individual will develop and drive overall strategies in the areas of fundraising, marketing, and communications.
About the Organization
North10, Philadelphia works to improve the life outcomes for community members in the Hunting Park-East Tioga neighborhoods of North Philadelphia. North10 facilitates economic growth, increases housing options, enhances learning opportunities, and promotes physical and emotional wellness to enable current residents and future generations to live happy, healthy, and civically engaged lives.
North10 was formed in 2018 as the parent organization of the Lenfest Center, a beautiful, privately operated community/recreation/learning facility that opened in 2007. The Lenfest Center provides neighborhood youth with a welcoming, safe, and enriching refuge from systemic neighborhood violence, poverty, and a myriad of other trauma-inducing challenges. The Lenfest Center facility still serves as the cornerstone of North10’s innovative and inclusive efforts to revitalize this neighborhood. North10’s goal is community development without displacement: to improve the neighborhood with the people of this neighborhood.
Highly favorable candidates for this position will have an ardent passion for social justice, deep knowledge of and diverse connections across the City of Philadelphia, and an unwavering belief in the power of healthy neighborhoods to collectively raise and create a brighter future for children. They will be able to inspire collaborative action at scale among residents, community organizations, volunteers and donors. They will have the enterprising mindset and skills needed to conceptualize and implement an integrated marketing, communications and revenue strategy. Their direct experience and/or transferable skills will enable them to sustainably generate the revenue necessary to support the organization’s current operations and growth aspirations.
