PAFA seeks an entrepreneurial and collegial fundraising leader to serve as the Chief Development Officer. Reporting to the President & CEO, the successful candidate will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team and will have four direct reports and will oversee a team of 12. The successful candidate will support PAFA stakeholders including the Board of Trustees, senior leadership, the Dean of the School of Fine Arts, the Edna S. Tuttleman Director of the Museum, academic leadership and faculty, curatorial leadership and staff, and colleagues to achieve strategic and campaign funding goals.
The ideal candidate for this opportunity will have a demonstrated ability to multitask over multi-timeframes and a record of closing principal and planned gifts, ideally within a museum, arts, or higher education environment. The successful candidate will build and expand the planned giving program. S/he will systematically identify and build relationships with new sources of support and develop a national donor constituency. The Chief Development Officer will possess the stature and poise to work with philanthropic leaders. S/he will have the opportunity to launch Phase II of the capital campaign, which will include capital improvements for an historic landmark building and endowment.
