Chester Youth Empowerment Youth Summit, The Remix 2007

It’s titled “Chester Youth Empowerment Youth Summit, The Remix 2007”; the theme of the Summit is “The time is NOW why wait?” It is a FREE Event which will be held on May 12, 2007 at Widener University from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. It is being co-sponsored by The Chester Youth Collaborative and the office of Delaware County District G. Michael Green.
Many exciting and beneficial activities are planned for the day. The keynote address will be given by Lamarr Darnell Shield, M.Ed., author and co-founder of the Urban Youth Leadership Institute, located in Baltimore, Md. A special appearance will be made by Hip-hop legend Slick Rick.
Summit participants will have the opportunity to participate in several workshops including “Hip Hop Nation”, “Survival of the Fittest”, “Life after High School”, “Street Talk”, “From The Hip”, “Financial Literacy”, “Am I My Brother’s Keeper”, “Bridging the Gaps” and “What Set U Claim”.
