Verizon Invites New Jersey Literacy Organizations to Apply for Grants
Deadline: June 11, 2010
With support from Verizon customers who participated in the company’s Check Into Literacy program, Verizon Communications Inc. has announced the availability of grants totaling more than $250,000 to nonprofit literacy organizations in New Jersey.
To qualify for funding, applicants must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing basic reading skills and computer and Web-based literacy programs to New Jersey residents in underserved communities in Verizon’s landline service territory.
Eligible organizations can find information and the online application at the Verizon New Jersey Web site.
