Charles Bronfman Prize Announces Call for Nominations
Deadline: October 31, 2006
The Charles Bronfman Prize has announced the launch of its international quest for nominations of visionary young humanitarians for the 2007 award.
The Charles Bronfman Prize celebrates the vision and talent of a team or individual — under 50 years of age — whose humanitarian work has contributed significantly to the betterment of the world. The achievements of prize recipients exemplify the Jewish values and regard for humanity that provide inspiration to the next generations.
The prize awards the recipient $100,000 and will next be announced in the spring of 2007.
A nominator should be someone who is well acquainted with the candidate and can attest to their qualifications. Because the Charles Bronfman Prize wants to recognize leaders engaged in their fields, the program requires that the nominator be someone other than the nominee or a family member.
For further information on the prize, details on past recipients, and nomination forms, visit the prize program’s Web site.
