Announcement of position: Executive Director

Centro Nueva Creaci?n (<a href="http://www.centronueva.org/">http://www.centronueva.org/</a>) seeks an Executive Director to manage and oversee its operations, as well as develop, plan, execute and evaluate its programs. Established in 1994, Centro Nueva Creaci?n is a bilingual/bicultural center whose mission is to create opportunities for youth and families to transform their community. It is affiliated with a Lutheran church and serves the West Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia through education, community service, career development, technology and the arts.

The Center is looking for a resourceful leader with the ability to motivate staff, an authentic interest in the local community and enthusiasm for the Center’s mission. The Executive Director reports to a volunteer Board of Directors and manages a staff of over 10 full and part-time employees. Key requirements are:
* Fluency in Spanish and English, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Proven experience in non-profit organizational leadership, preferably in community-based organizations with a youth or family focus.
* Demonstrated experience in overseeing a $150,000 minimum organization or program, with ability to develop and manage an annual budget.
* Successful track record in researching, writing and implementing grant applications and projects.
* At least a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a pertinent field.
