The Buerger Early Learning Center, the only Jewish full day early childhood program in Center City, Philadelphia, is seeking a full-time Center Director for its 55 child program. This newly constructed center plans to expand to accommodate over 60 children, aged 6 weeks to four years, within several years. This is a joint program of Congregation Rodeph Shalom and Federation Early Learning Services, well respected and established non-profit organizations. This exciting, high quality center is planning to expand into the state of the art addition to the synagogue building in the next few years.
This is an ideal position for a director, assistant director or supervisor with experience in a high quality child care center.
¨ A bachelor’s degree in early childhood or elementary education
¨ Experience implementing or assisting the director in the administration of a high quality child care center
¨ Demonstrated success facilitating open communication with parents and staff
¨ Knowledge of Jewish values, rituals, holidays and preschool curriculum
¨ Knowledge of the Keystone Star Quality Initiative program
¨ Excellent verbal and written skills
¨ Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
