Empower young people to become community change makers by becoming a goLEAD Facilitator!
GenerationOn, through the generous support of the Prudential Spirit of Community Initiative, is pleased to offer “Catch the Spirit” scholarships of up to $500 to reimburse for expenses related to attending a goLEAD Facilitator Training for adults who work with low-income youth.
What is goLEAD?
goLEAD (generationOn Leadership, Education, and Development program) is a signature youth leadership opportunity that inspires teens to engage in meaningful service-learning and leadership skill-building to effect real community change. During goLEAD Facilitator Training, generationOn certifies adult Facilitators (educators, non-profit professionals, and those focused on youth leadership and service) to deliver the goLEAD program. goLEAD is designed for high school students, but has been successfully modified for elementary to college level youth.
What can the “Catch the Spirit” goLEAD scholarship fund?
Scholarships must be used for travel costs (up to $500) associated with a goLEAD Facilitator Training (such as flights, hotels, or meals) by adults who will use the goLEAD program with low-income youth. All goLEAD registration fees will also be waived for “Catch the Spirit” scholarship recipients ($750 value).
