Case Manager, After Care Services, Women Against Abuse
Description:
Provides continued supportive housing counseling and advocacy to former WAA shelter and transitional housing residents; provides and coordinates aftercare housing counseling services for a caseload of clients in accordance with the mission and vision of the Agency. Note due to the caseload, this position will require travel to and from various sites, including our transitional housing program, Sojourner House and other external sites.
Additional Qualifications:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in social work or a related social science field, experience in direct service and/or advocacy, and knowledge of Philadelphia’s housing programs is required;
• Experience in a residential setting is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse population is required.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member is required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in communication, both verbal and in writing is required.
• Some experience in working on domestic violence issues is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Spanish is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated skill in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, group facilitation and counseling is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Group Family Decision Making model is a plus.
• Must satisfactorily pass criminal (state & FBI) and child abuse clearances.
Hours: full time with core hours Monday thru Friday, flexible schedule between 8 am and 8 pm. A comprehensive benefits package is available after 90 days.
