Case Manager (2 opportunities)
Summary of Principle Duties: The position either provides the direct service links for residents and/or their children from our transitional housing residential program to external resources necessary to establish safe and more permanent housing and support whilst providing and coordinating counseling services for a caseload of clients in accordance with the mission and vision of the Agency. (Transitional Housing Case Manager will be on-call for resident emergencies every other week).or you will be providing continued supportive housing counseling and advocacy to former WAA shelter and transitional housing residents; provides and coordinates aftercare housing counseling services for a caseload of clients in accordance with the mission and vision of the Agency (Note due to the caseload, this position will require travel to and from various sites within Philadelphia) .
Qualifications: • A Bachelor’s Degree in social services or related field with some experience in direct service and/or advocacy is required; experience in a residential setting is strongly preferred. • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse population is required. • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member is required. • Demonstrated proficiency in communication, both verbal and written, required. • Some experience in working on domestic violence issues is strongly preferred. • Proficiency in Spanish is strongly preferred. • Prior Case Management experience preferred. • Demonstrated skill in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, group facilitation and counseling is strongly preferred. • Completion of the 40-hour Domestic Training Class is required (pre or post hire) • Pass criminal record, FBI and child abuse clearances.
Transitional Housing CM Schedule: 24 hrs per week, Monday 9-5 pm; Tuesday 12-8 pm and Friday 9 – 5pm(Effective 5/1 will go to 40 hrs per week , schedule will be Monday & Wednesday 12pm -8pm and Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 9 – 5pm.*(current PT schedule may change based on program needs)
After-Care Services CM Schedule : 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday flexible hours between 8am – 8pm.
Salary: commensurate with experience as well as a generous full benefits package.
