CASAA Race Matters Forum: Anti-Bias/Anti-Racism Training for NGOs – Dec 8
Posted by Center for Antiracist Scholarship Advocacy and Action (CASAA) on December 6, 2022
The workshop “Anti-Bias/Anti-Racism Training for NGOs” strives to address the “implicit biases and racism within non-profit, for-profit, and non-governmental organizations whose goals are to provide education to others or engage in efforts to positively impact marginalized communities from local to international levels”.
Though organizations can offer invaluable services to displaced and marginalized communities throughout the world, they can still be impacted by implicit biases and incidents of racism, argue Rachel Kuria, Tyanna Taylor, and Samuel Wragg III.
This CASAA Microgrants project (AY21-22)–supported by Dr. Warren Haffar and Prof. Allyson McCreery–funds anti-bias and anti-racism training for Kuria, Taylor, and Wragg and covers expenses related to external consultations with professionals in the field as they design a training program for NGOs. Join us via Zoom as they share their insightful work.
This event is cosponsored by the Center for Antiracist Scholarship, Advocacy, and Action (CASAA) and
the International Peace and Conflict Resolution (IPCR) Program at Arcadia University.
Date and Time: Thursday, December 8, 2022, 12:00-1:00 PM via Zoom
