Feds support physical education programs
The US Department of Education, through the Carol M. White Physical Education Program, is offering grants to initiate, expand or enhance physical education programs, including after-school programs, for students in kindergarten through 12th grade.
Local educational agencies and community-based organizations are eligible to apply. The department expects to offer make 95 grants ranging from $100,000 to $500,000 each.
