Carol M. White Physical Education Program (PEP) initiates, expands, or improves physical education programs, including after-school programs, for students in one or more grades from kindergarten through 12th grade in order to help students make progress toward meeting state standards for physical education.
Average award size: $150,000 to $300,000, for one to three years (based on previous competitions)

You typically have 30 to 45 days to submit your application after a grant competition is announced, so it is important to start early. Please review the PEP Homepage for information from the last competitions. The Department of Education will conduct a series of technical assistance workshops around the country, and we will have technical assistance webcasts posted on our Web site
