CARES Symposium: A Conversation Between Rev. Kaji Douša and R. Stanton Jones – Nov 2
Posted by Villanova University on October 27, 2020
You are all welcome to join us for a virtual symposium, A Conversation Between Rev. Kaji Douša and R. Stanton Jones, hosted by the Clinic for Asylum, Refugee & Emigrant Services (CARES) at the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law. This panel is a conversation between a pastor and the attorney representing her in a First Amendment and Religious Freedom Restoration Act lawsuit. The lawsuit challenges the government’s surveillance, detention, and interrogation of the pastor due to her immigrants’ rights work. This session is part of the CARES Syposium, Immigrant Justice: Victories and Visions.
This inaugural CARES symposium will bring together the legal, faith and University communities for an inaugural symposium focused on fighting for immigrant justice. Speakers representing diverse communities will share effective, replicable strategies and sustaining visions for supporting our national and immigrant communities in, and beyond, this election year.
Date and Time: Monday, November 2, 2020, 12:00-1:00 p.m.
