Employment seminar offers to ‘age-proof your job search’
JEVS Career Solutions for 55+ will host a free employment seminar called Strategies for Success to help “mature workers” be successful in today’s job search and workplace.
The event will be held on Wednesday, May 25th from 9am to noon at International House Philadelphia, 3701 Chestnut Street in University City.
The event will feature informational sessions on how to “age-proof” the job search and pre-employment process—with insider tips from HR recruiters on what they look for in a job candidate, and how individuals over age 55 can effectively market his/her skills. Plus, event attendees can benefit from workshops on preparing a résumé that stands out from the younger crowd, and interviewing do’s and don’ts for mature workers.
A variety of exhibitors, non-profits, and social service agencies will be on hand at the event with helpful employment resources and other information.
Seats are limited and pre-registration is required by calling Judy Cherry at 215-560-5465 x268.
