Posted by Community College of Philadelphia on January 12, 2018
Community College of Philadelphia, in partnership with the City’s Commerce Department’s Workforce and Talent Development Committees will host a Breakfast Professional Development Program focusing on Career Readiness and Workforce Development.
You’ll learn about our shorter term certificate and associate degree programs, as well as programs in our Continuing Education and Workforce Development division. These programs are designed to assist Philadelphians in developing highly marketable skills, for existing and future family sustaining jobs matched with Philadelphia’s growing industries.
We’ll also discuss the City’s College: Impact 2025 plan, which is part of the College’s long-term strategic goal of playing a primary role in workforce development, readiness, and economic innovation.
The City’s Workforce Development Steering Committee and the Commerce Department of Talent Development team will provide resources, options and information about high growth occupation sectors, what the business landscape encompasses, and what credentials and skills employers in those sectors are looking for that can translate into career opportunities for students who acquire a four-year degree and those who do not.
