Since 1990, Summer Search has partnered with young people during their transition from adolescence into adulthood by connecting them to expansive opportunities, professional mentoring, and a community of support. Summer Searchers recognize their potential and build a toolkit to navigate and challenge systemic barriers, break new ground for their families and communities, and achieve economic equity and a life of purpose.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Are you passionate about empowering young adults to achieve their career dreams? Join Summer Search Philadelphia as our Career Navigator and Internship Manager, where you’ll be at the heart of our mission to support students and alumni in their journey towards fulfilling careers. As the Career Navigator and Internship Manager, you’ll be a catalyst for change, creating dynamic systems and processes that provide our community with the tools and resources they need for success. You’ll be instrumental in forging partnerships with external organizations to expand our reach and impact, ensuring that our young adults have access to a wide range of career exploration opportunities. One of the most exciting aspects of this role is the chance to manage our significant partnership, where over 20 young adults are currently engaged in professional apprenticeships. You’ll be at the forefront of driving these opportunities forward, developing innovative programs and strategies to enhance our career exploration initiatives. As a key member of our team, you’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to the assessment and development of all our career exploration programs, ensuring that they are aligned with our mission and goals. Your leadership and organizational skills will be essential as you provide direction to our team and deliver training and support to the rest of the organization.
