United Communities Southeast Philadelphia and Diversified Community Services – Career Advisors.
These two community-based nonprofits based in South Philadelphia, working with other project partners, seek two full-time Career Advisors to implement a pilot job readiness and placement program to connect under-employed adults to the green job sector.
Key duties include: enroll/assess candidates; conduct job readiness/workplace curriculum (both group and individual sessions); assist trainees in accessing community resources (refer and track referrals to assist trainees overcome any identified barriers to employment), and provide follow-up services. Qualifications: Associate Degree, BA preferred; at least 3 years of teaching, career counseling and/or job placement with adult population experience required; must be self-starter; flexible and comfortable with launching a new program. Salary range: high 30s plus full time benefits including sick/vacation leave, health/dental insurance and retirement plan.
