Title – Career Advisor – Re-Entry Program
Location – Norristown, PA

Job Responsibilities:
• Develops career services and career counseling approaches for re-entry participant populations.
• Oversees the development and maintenance of Internet applications and databases that support and deliver career services to participants and employers.
• Maintains operational procedures and guidelines in Job Search Network
• Assists with participant activity reporting
• Reviews and assists participants working in ResumePro
• Assists with general computer and navigational issues on the internet
• Maintains Job Board by ensuring all postings are current and active
• Partners with Case Manager and Employment Specialist to discuss individual caseloads
• Provides guidance during job search and partners with Job Developers to increase placement results
• Performs other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION
Qualifications:
• 1-3 years experience in Career Counseling or Employment Services
• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Strong customer service skills
• Demonstrated proficiency with Internet Job Search Applications and Software
• Ability to multi-task in a fast pace work environment with minimal supervision
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Counseling, Social Work or related field. An equivalent combination of training and experience may be substituted for the education requirement .

Work Requirements:

  • Strong computer skills.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
