Posted by Friends of the Wissahickon on July 1, 2025
Friends of the Wissahickon (FOW) is seeking a Capital Projects Coordinator (CPC) to play a key role in advancing FOW’s capital projects and park improvements, ensuring they are executed efficiently, sustainably, and equitably. The CPC will work closely with the Director of Capital Projects (DCP) to support planning, execution, evaluation, and reporting for capital projects, with a strong emphasis on community engagement.
These projects include:
- Stormwater management and ecological restoration projects
- Infrastructure and amenity improvements, such as structures and signage
- Trail projects with contractors
- Long-range plans and studies
The CPC will assist the DCP in maintaining timelines, budgets, and compliance requirements while working with contractors, consultants, and FOW’s field department. They will also provide support on grant administration, wayfinding and signage efforts, and asset management to ensure projects align with FOW’s strategic goals, environmental sustainability best practices, and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Justice, and Belonging commitments. This is a unique opportunity to work on large scale improvement projects in a world class park and develop a career in project management and non-profit leadership, while making a tangible impact on one of Philadelphia’s most beloved parks.
Applications will be accepted through Sunday, July 6th.
