National Alliance for Grieving Children Announces Capacity-Building Grants Program
The National Alliance for Grieving Children promotes awareness of the needs of children and teens grieving a death and provides education and resources for anyone who wants to support them.
NAGC, in association with the New York Life Foundation, will award twenty one-time grants of $10,000 to childhood bereavement organizations that have identified a need and seek funding to help them operate more effectively at an organizational level.
Proposals should fall into one of five categories: planning activities, staff/board development, strategic relationships/collaboration, internal operations, and technology improvements: improving IT capacity through upgrades to hardware and/or software; networking; website updates; and staff training to optimize use of technology. In addition, the project should have an impact on the organization itself, as opposed to its clients.
To be eligible, organizations must be considered tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
See the NAGC website for complete program guidelines and application instructions.
DEADLINE: APRIL 10, 2017
