What: Campus Compact Introduction to Service-Learning Institutes
When: November 4-5, 2004
Where: Chicago, IL (for all institutions)
When: November 11-12, 2004
Where: Austin, TX (for community colleges)
Description: An intensive, two-day institute to assist campus teams in developing action plans for institutionalizing service-learning on their campuses. Teams will receive instruction and support from nationally recognized leaders in the field, plus key service-learning resources such as Campus Compact’s new, bestselling Introduction to Service-Learning Toolkit. The Austin, Texas, Institute is designed specifically for community colleges and will address the theme of using service-learning to improve minority student success.
Who: Campus teams of 4-6 members to include community service/service-learning staff, faculty, academic administrators, and community partners.
Cost: $475 per person, Campus Compact member campuses; $620 per person, non-member campuses.
