Campaign for Mentors and Young Males of Color
Posted by on September 15, 2008
United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) to support the and retaining males of color as mentors for youth. This effort is part of United Way’s desire to better address the crisis facing many young men of color in our region who are not succeeding in school and who lack positive male role models who can assist them in successfully preparing for life. This project is in conjunction with United Way’s Campaign for Mentors and Young Males of Color: Cross Cities Collaborative (YMC3), which involves three cities (Philadelphia, Baltimore, and the District of Columbia) committed to reducing the achievement gap between young males of color and increasing graduation rates through access and utilization of quality mentoring and out-of-school time programs.
Applications must be received by 5 pm on Friday, September 30, 2008. Go to http://www.uwsepa.org/RFP for an electronic copy of the application in Microsoft Word (.doc).
