Camp Mariposa, Children Ages 9-12 – Fall 2021
Posted by Jewish Family & Children's Service on June 8, 2021
Beginning this fall, Jewish Family & Children’s Service of Greater Philadelphia (JFCS) will be running a local Camp Mariposa, a camp for children ages 9-12 who have been affected by the substance abuse of a loved one. The camp will take place on six different weekends (one every other month) over the course of a year at a year-round (all-weather) site in Quakertown, PA.
Youth participate in fun, traditional camp activities combined with education and support sessions led by professionals and adult mentors. Camp is held six times a year from Friday evening to Sunday at Camp Men-O-Lan in Quakertown, PA. Additional social activities are offered for youth and their families throughout the year. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, Camp Mariposa will offer virtual programming and in-person day camps.
Camp Mariposa Philadelphia is offered in partnership with JFCS, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Eluna.
Please share this information with the families/guardians of kids who would really benefit from this free Camp Mariposa experience.
For more information, please contact Maura Hanlon, Camp Mariposa Program Director, at (267) 679 – 6158 or mhanlon@jfcsphilly.org.
