Camp College Virtual Experience – Aug 8
Posted by Pennsylvania Association for College Admission Counseling on June 6, 2023
For the past 9 years, PACAC has provided its Camp College (CC) experience for students in the Commonwealth to come together and learn about the College Admissions process. CC has brought together College Admissions experts from around the state to provide this vital information and guidance, specifically targeting first-generation, low-income, underrepresented student populations. CC has always been free and focused on inclusion, access, and success in the college admissions process.
Camp College will be hosting a virtual experience again this year, and are excited to do so on Tuesday, August 8, 2023.
Please share our registration link with any and all student and family members that you think would benefit from this experience. The deadline for participant registration is Tuesday, August 1, 2023.
Dates and Times: This year, we’re offering the entire program in one morning (from 9am-12pm).
Session Topics:
We are planning to offer different session topics for students and families to select from. Some example sessions include:
- College Admissions Fundamentals
- Paying for College
- Writing A Great College Essay
- And so many more!
We will be using Zoom conference to provide all of our sessions. It is a free platform that can be accessed on any phone, tablet, or computer. Attendees must have a device that accesses Zoom. Attendees wishing to earn completion credit must also have access to Zoom’s video feature.
Certificates of Completion:
For any attendee, we are offering the opportunity to earn a certificate of completion. If this is something you are interested in earning, you must have access to Zoom’s video feature, and you must attend sessions during each timeslot.
Registration:
If this sounds like an experience that is for you, great! We’d love to have you join us. Please fill out our form and you will receive more instructions upon registration: VCC ’23 Participant Registration.
Please share this registration information with any other student or family that you think would be interested. We are committed to having VCC be available to as many students and families as would like to participate.
Please email us if you have any questions at [email protected].
