Call for Workshops: Community-Campus Partnerships as a Strategy for Social Justice

We invite you to share your knowledge, wisdom and experience! Submit a proposal for a session or poster presentation at Community-Campus Partnerships for Health’s 15th anniversary conference, April 18-21, 2012 in Houston, TX USA!  The conference theme is “Community-Campus Partnerships as a Strategy for Social Justice: Where We’ve Been & Where We Need to Go.”

Whether you are directly involved in community-based participatory research, service-learning or other community-campus partnerships – or are working to ensure the conditions are in place for such partnerships to thrive and have impact – the conference is designed to challenge and inspire you!  Regardless of the social justice issue you are passionate about – health equity, education, environmental justice, food security, sustainability, indigenous rights and so forth – together we will explore how to leverage partnerships to create change.

CCPH conferences consistently get rave reviews for time and money well spent for a number of reasons:

Houston is also home to our major conference partner, St. Luke’s Episcopal Health Charities, the area’s largest charity focused solely on health and well-being and also celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2012.

We are committed to keeping conference costs to a minimum and raising funds to support the full participation of community members, students and individuals from countries with emerging and developing economies.
