Call for volunteers, grant reviewer at United Way
Posted by on January 06, 2014
I’m reaching out to folks hoping you might be interested or know of others who might be interested in volunteering during our upcoming United Way Investment Process. We have a particular need in our basic needs strategies and reviewing agency applications for those areas of work.

The time commitment is largely in January and February and includes reviewing 5-10 basic needs applications online during your own time and then 1 panel meeting with a group of volunteers sometime in February or early March.
United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey’s (UWGPSNJ) Impact Fund invests in region, driving real, measurable change in the communities where we live, work and play. United Way’s Impact Grant Funding Cycle is approaching and we need your help to ensure that it is a success!
United Way is looking for Community Investment Reviewer volunteers to help us decide how to invest United Way donors’ dollars to make the biggest impact possible in our communities. Community Investment Volunteers are asked to commit to a three-year term coinciding with United Way’s Impact Grant Funding Cycle. Selected individuals may also be asked to aid in United Way’s annual Targeted Investment reviews or serve as liaisons to selected agency partners to follow up on key results and outcomes.
We rely on diverse and dedicated volunteers who lend their time and talents to our Impact Fund investment process, providing objective insight and community analysis to ensure we select the most promising programs poised to deliver real results that drive local community change. As a volunteer led and run organization, United Way must ensure that there is a highly rigorous and transparent review process in every aspect of the process. If you are interested and able to assist us for this funding cycle, please fill out a Volunteer Application by visiting https://secure.uwsepa.org/FundingReviewer/
