CALL FOR PROPOSALS (PA only): Increasing 2030 Census Participation – Apr 23

Posted by William Penn Foundation on April 7, 2026

A funder collaborative, including The Heinz Endowments, is seeking grant proposals to develop plans to boost statewide 2030 census participation through education, outreach and other efforts.

Strengthening the health of our democracy begins in our neighborhoods and communities. Every neighborhood counts — today and into the future.

The Heinz Endowments is proud to join peer funders — the William Penn Foundation and the HealthSpark Foundation — in seeking proposals to develop plans to increase participation in the 2030 census across Pennsylvania through:

  • Census-related education.
  • Outreach.
  • Communications.
  • Get-out-the-count activities in Pennsylvania.

Grants of up to $50,000 are available for individual organizations, and coalitions of two or more are eligible for up to $100,000. A total of $1.275 million has been allocated for the grant program.

Applications should be submitted through the William Penn Foundation and must be received by 5 p.m. on April 23, 2026. Proposals from organizations in the 10-county southwestern region will be evaluated by The Heinz Endowments.
