Call for Proposals: Community Leadership: Educating the Next Generation – Deadline Extended

Posted by Gulf-South Summit on October 8, 2018

If you’ve never attended a Gulf-South Summit (now in its 17th year), mark your calendars! The annual GSS on Service-Learning and Civic Engagement is three days of collegial information sharing, networking, impactful speakers, roundtable discussions, and 50+ breakout sessions. Our upcoming conference is April 3-5, hosted on the Sam Houston State University campus in charming and historically-rich Huntsville, Texas (yes, we plan to show you some of the city too!).

Our theme this year is Community Leadership: Educating the Next Generation. We’ll explore how campus-community partnerships, community engagement projects, service-learning courses, and many other initiatives provide resources to help meet community needs and furnish applied learning experiences for students, developing future community leaders.

Proposals are due October 26. Don’t forget that students have their very own proposal category for the Student Showcase.

See Call for Proposals: http://www.gulfsouthsummit.org/2019-conference/2019-proposals-and-submissions/

Early registration is opening soon – more information at http://www.gulfsouthsummit.org.

See you in Huntsville!
