Western New York Service Learning Coalition proudly presents, “Exploring Engagement: Beyond Traditional Campus-Community Partnerships”, October 26-27, 2012 at Niagara University.
Join both academic and community partner colleagues over this day and a half conference sharing not only best practices in service-learning, community based participatory research and community service, but also looking forward towards the future, responding to trends both in higher education as well as community revitalization.
Community-based learning advocate, speaker, practitioner, author and independent scholar, Nadinne Cruz brings her years of experience to the Buffalo/Niagara region to share her thoughts on the future of service-learning and engagement as the featured keynote speaker. As a frequent speaker and resource to campuses across the U.S., Nadinne hopes to make extraordinary community engagement an ordinary part of college experiences. Don’t miss her presentation, “Service-Learning on Fire with Urgency, Courage and Hope: A Call to Renewal”
A Call for Proposals is currently open seeking individual presentations, panel discussions, and poster and visual presentations that highlight best practices in local, regional, national and/or international campus community partnerships.
