Call for Proposals: 3rd Annual Conference on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Education (Online) – Jan 30
Posted by Gwynedd Mercy University on December 6, 2022
Online Conference Dates: Tuesday, April 25, and Wednesday, April 26, 2023, 6-9 pm EST
Conference Theme: Creating Learning Environments that Engage Diverse Voices
Our 2023 conference focuses on how learning environments can be created to engage diverse voices. These environments need to be created in the classroom, as well as in the larger educational institution, to support inclusion. Diversity can encompass a multitude of student characteristics, such as race, color, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, physical ability, neurodiversity, socioeconomic status, and citizenship status, among others. We seek presentations that are geared toward educators and administrators in PK-12 and higher education, as well as staff members who support students in these settings. Preference will be given to proposals that meet one or more of the following themes:
- Institutional strategies for engaging diverse student voices
- Instructional strategies for engaging diverse student voices
- Inclusive strategies that support student experiences and needs (student co-presenters are encouraged)
Session Length: 50 minutes online in Zoom (inclusive of 10 minutes Q&A)
Proposal Deadline: Monday, January 30, 2023
Decision Date: Monday, February 20, 2023
You will complete the form via Microsoft Forms.
