Call for Proposals: 2026 Summit for Sustainable Schools – Mar 15

We are pleased to announce the Call for Proposals for the 2026 Summit for Sustainable Schools, sponsored by the School District of Philadelphia’s GreenFutures Program. This year’s theme, Where Healthy Buildings Drive Savings and Resilience, highlights how healthier school environments support student success, reduce operating costs, and strengthen long term resilience through practical, achievable steps and measurable outcomes.

Event Date: Monday, June 1, 2026

Time: 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM Eastern.

Location: Constance E. Clayton Education Center, School District of Philadelphia, 440 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA, 19130.

Audience: District leadership, decision makers, and key staff members, alongside industry experts, local government agencies, private sector leaders, and nonprofit organizations.

Sessions should align with one or more of the Event Priority Areas and support the District’s GreenFutures sustainability plan. Priority areas include:

  • Healthy learning environments and building performance
  • Operations and maintenance for reliability and cost control
  • Near-term action and long-term planning
  • Funding and scaling strategies
  • Teaching, student leadership, and green career pathways

Key Dates

  • Proposal Submission Deadline: March 9, 2026
  • Notification of Selection: April 1, 2026
  • Presenter Registration Deadline: May 1, 2026
  • Final Presentations Due: May 18, 2026
  • Event Date: June 1, 2026

Submission Instructions

  1. Review the detailed Call for Proposals document and attached flyer for priority areas and submission guidance
  2. Submit your proposal through the online submission form by March 9, 2026
  3. Proposals are encouraged to be interactive and discussion based, with clear takeaways participants can apply.
