Call for Proposals: 2025 Summit for Sustainable Schools – Jan 31

We’re excited to announce the Call for Proposals for the 2025 Summit for Sustainable Schools, sponsored by the School District of Philadelphia’s GreenFutures Program. This year’s theme, Climate Resiliency Planning, reflects our commitment to ensuring schools are adaptable, sustainable, and prepared to meet evolving climate challenges.

Date/Time: Wednesday, April 30, 2025 from 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Location: Constance E. Clayton Education Center (440 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19130)
Audience: District leadership, decision-makers, key staff members, industry experts, local agencies and institutions, private sector leaders, and non-profit organizations.

Sessions will explore actionable strategies that advance climate resilience within the District, supporting its sustainability objectives as outlined in GreenFutures. Proposals are encouraged to focus on any of the following areas: developing strategic plans for climate resilience, implementing sustainable infrastructure, optimizing operational practices, leveraging innovative funding sources, or fostering collaborative partnerships to drive meaningful change.

Key Dates:

• Proposal Submission Deadline: January 31, 2025
• Notification of Acceptance: March 1, 2025
• Event Date: April 30, 2025

Submission Instructions:

• Review the Call for Proposals Document for details on themes and submission guidelines.
• Submit your proposal through the Online Submission Form.
• Ensure your proposal aligns with the overarching theme of Climate Resiliency Planning and addresses one or more of the event’s key tracks.
• Include all required information as outlined in the submission guidelines.
