Posted by William and Mary College on December 5, 2023
The 2024 Active Citizens Conference will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 10:00 AM – 3:30 PM at William & Mary (Williamsburg, VA).
Join 100 students from across the country to learn about effective community engagement and contributing to positive social change. Students, faculty/staff, and community leaders facilitate active-learning workshops on a range of civic skills, frameworks, and resources. Our 2024 theme is Transformation.
We are accepting proposals for our 50 minute workshops through January 25. Proposals are welcome from students, faculty, and staff. Past workshops have included: “Active Citizenship 101: Prioritizing Community as a College Student,” “How to Start a 501(c)(3) as an Undergrad,” “Learn to Lobby your Representatives,” and “Overcoming Eco-Anxiety.”
Registration is open through February 5:
- $20 for four year institution students
- $10 for community college students
- $25 for faculty/staff and community partners
The conference is a space for educating, uniting, and inspiring active citizens and we are grateful to be able to offer it again. Please visit the conference website for more details.
