Call for Proposals: 2023 CSforAllPA Summit – Jan 20
Posted by PA Department of Education on January 3, 2023
The Pennsylvania Department of Education, Bureau of Special Education is pleased to announce the sixth annual Pennsylvania Computer Science For All (CSforAllPA) Summit will be held June 14-15, 2023 at PaTTAN Harrisburg and online.
The theme for 2023, All Together Now, represents core tenants of CSinPA: There’s a seat for everyone, we’re stronger together, and we must celebrate our progress while forging ahead.
Presentation proposals are now being accepted for the 2023 CSforAllPA Summit. Priority will be given to proposals that highlight equitable practices for students with disabilities and other historically underrepresented populations.
The Summit features three formats for presentations:
- Concurrent Sessions are 45-minute time blocks covering a wide range of CS concepts and practices, levels of CS experience, and roles. Levels of engagement may include:
- Listen & Learn: Presenter-led demonstrations and/or panel conversations
- Share & Collaborate: Small or large group collaboration and discussion
- Discover & Practice: Hands-on exploration and practice
- Lunch & Learn Booths will be available June 14th during lunch. These interactive booths will allow participants to have hands-on access to various types of products and/or tools. Booths will require a display to showcase the main features of the product and the physical product so the participant can engage.
- Asynchronous Sessions will be available on virtual platform. Videos should be 10-15 minutes with an option for participants to engage on a discussion board.
Deadline for submitting a proposal: January 20, 2023
